Study on Some Species of Trichoderma for the Management of Root Knot Nematode (Meloidogyne spp.) in Tomato

Pot experiment was conducted to find out the competence of some commercial product Trichoderma spp. on management root knot nematode in tomato crop. The RCBD having seven treatments six different including one control three replications. Each treatment had five pots. Twenty days old seedling Shrijana hybrid transplanted and inoculated with 1500 eggs Meloidogyne soil after transplanting seedlings. spore suspensions adjusted 1 × 106 spores/ml also per pot 30 ml week inoculation. same concentration amount spores solution again month from date first application. Sixty transplanting, all plants were uprooted number galls root, galling index fresh weight determined based a 0-10 scale. result showed that varied significantly system plant. lowest gall observed T. harzianum - Nemastin (1.6), followed by (T22) Rootshield Plus (2.37) viride (Ashtha TV) (3.43). Similarly, numbers (9.13) than other treatments. There no significant difference plant among except (T22). Significantly highest suppressive effect population achieved harzianum- (Rf 0.45), harzianum, 0.61), viride, 1.43). Different isolates suppressed disease as compare viride. Hence, can be applied biological agent reduce population.
